Emergency and VEC crews were dispatched to the 1400 block of Brown Creek Drive Wednesday (4/17/24) night to a report of a power line glowing red and smoking. The call went out shortly before 6pm. VEC at 6:22pm reported 56 customers without electricity and advised that a crew has been assigned to the area to restore power. According to the VEC Outage Map, electricity was restored before 8pm.
In an unrelated incident, firefighters were dispatched to the 1700 block of Wilson Road at 6:22pm Wednesday for a camper on fire. There was 1 power outage reported in that area at the time.
