Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Lantana Road, not far from Midway Road in Cumberland County. According to the THP, around 7:30am, 18-year-old Martena G. Burgess and a 16-year-old passenger were traveling from a residential driveway in a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser and turned north onto Lantana Road, failing to yield to a Honda driven by 58-year-old Rhonda J Filarecki who was traveling south on Lantana. The Chrysler traveled into the path of the Honda and the vehicles impacted in the southbound lane of Lantana Road. The Chrysler spun in the roadway and reached a final rest facing south in the southbound lane. The Honda traveled off the roadway on the east side and returned onto the roadway for final rest in the northbound lane after traveling approximately 200 feet from the impact area. The report states all three sustained injuries. No charges are pending.
