No one was injured Saturday (5/4/24) in a 4-vehicle crash on I-40 in Cumberland County near the 315 eastbound mile marker. According to the THP, 23-year-old Bhavya Patel was driving a Lexus east around 2pm when he said his vision was obstructed by water splashing onto his windshield. Patel left his lane of travel and struck the guardrail. A Ford Bronco was able to stop before striking the Lexus, however a Chevrolet pickup struck the Bronco. The driver of a Nissan Sentra swerved to avoid the other vehicles and hit the guardrail. No one was reportedly hurt. Patel was cited for Failure to Exercise Due Care.
